Keep in mind that I was an herbal tea designer when I ventured into the realm of designing an herbal coffee. Java was created after listening to coffee drinkers tell me that they wanted a regular flavor with less sweetness and fruitiness than Original. I cut down the dates and figs and took out the citrus top notes to deliver a purer coffee flavor with deeper roasted body leaving just a hint of sweet. I searched for a natural coffee flavor that would give the essence of the coffee bean without the caffeine and acids. I remember the smile on a dear friend's face when he tasted my finished formula. Ah, he said, you know I love the other flavors, but this one is for me. That smile still warms my heart.
Ingredients: organic roasted carob, organic roasted barley, chicory root, organic chicory, almonds, organic dates, natural coffee flavor, organic figs.
